Whip scorpions (Thelyphonida) are unusual animals belonging to the arachnids. Their single family, Thelyphonidae, includes around 100 species. Most whip scorpions live in tropical regions, although there are some exceptions. Their size usually ranges between 2.5 and 7 cm. Because of their appearance and unique body structure, they are easily recognizable and fascinating arachnids.
