    The Mexican redleg tarantula, also known as Brachypelma emilia, is a new world terrestrial species. It is native to the Pacific savannas and scrublands of Mexico. In the wild, it often hides in underground burrows at the base of trees. It may also use abandoned nests as shelter.

    This remarkable tarantula is admired for its striking appearance. Many enthusiasts also appreciate its generally calm nature.
