Corydoras julii is a small but very active aquarium fish. It is a social species and feels safest in a group of at least 5–6 individuals. It has a peaceful nature and does not bother other fish. This makes it a good choice for calm community aquariums. It also does not damage plants, so it can be kept in planted tanks as well. This fish spends much of its time near the bottom, searching for food among the substrate. While it can help eat leftover food, it should not be seen as a replacement for regular aquarium maintenance. With its calm behavior and constant activity, the Corydoras julii is a charming, useful and lovable aquarium companion.
