Furcifer viridis is a chameleon species native to northwestern Madagascar. It has a relatively wide distribution range in this region. Its habitat use is diverse, so it is not found only in forested areas. The species can also live in shrublands and grassy habitats, where vegetation provides suitable shelter, feeding opportunities and space for movement.
