Young Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens individuals look quite different from adults. In juveniles, the contrasting pattern on the abdomen is especially noticeable. As the spider grows and molts, the vivid colors typical of the species gradually develop. Adult individuals show bright blue legs, a metallic green carapace and an orange abdomen.
