Armadillidium gestroi is mainly found in Mediterranean and Southern European regions. It prefers moist, shaded habitats, where it can find shelter among fallen leaves, bark and tree hollows.
Although small in size, it plays an important role in nature’s cycle. By breaking down dead plant matter, it helps support soil health and nutrient recycling.
