The orange sakura shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. orange) is a tiny but very active cleaner in the aquarium. It spends hours exploring hard surfaces, decorations, filter openings, aquarium glass and the leaves of live plants. While searching for food, it mainly feeds on soft plant matter. It happily grazes on algae, mosses and different types of aquatic plants.
Despite its small size, this shrimp can be a very useful and lively resident of a well-balanced aquarium.
