Leopard tortoise size is truly impressive, as this species is one of Africa’s largest land tortoises. After the African spurred tortoise, the leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis) is considered the continent’s second-largest land tortoise. Its shell length can reach up to 70 cm, and under favorable conditions, its weight may reach 15–20 kg.
